our club (Maggie)

Lady Margaret Boat Club is the boatclub of St John’s College Cambridge - more affectionately known as ‘Maggie’

While we may row in different boats we are one club with calls of ‘Yeah Maggie’ a common sound when rowing or walking along the banks of the Cam.

Highly experienced rowers in the club may row for the university

We have some incredible facilities and a very inclusive club culture.
A biannual training camp - most recently in Seville with two boats present from both the men’s and women’s side.

Socials

Ask any Maggie rower what their favourite part of being at LMBC is, and it will undoubtedly be the social benefits of the boat house. From the more informal ‘Crew Chews’ (where your crew have a group meal together, often before a race or after a training session), to the black tie Boat Club Dinners at the end of every term; there is no shortage of opportunities to get to know your fellow boaties.
